US to back any move to tackle terror

ISLAMABAD - US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson on Friday held a meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and exchanged views on the All Parties Conference (APC) convened by the JUI-F for initiating peace talks with the Taliban.

According to sources, a host of other issues including Pak-US bilateral relations, situation in Afghanistan with reference to reconciliation process came under discussion in the meeting.
He briefed the US Ambassador about the APC purpose and decisions taken by the conference.
Olson assured the JUI-F leader all out support and cooperation of his country in tackling the challenges related to terrorism. 
Later, talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, Fazlur Rehman was of the view that the military would also support the decision regarding initiating talks with Taliban, which would be made with national consensus.
Commenting on meeting with US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson, he termed it successful and said they discussed law and order situation in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
