BAHAWALPUR - Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) President Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi has expressed concerns over the prevailing condition in the country and blamed “foreign interference” in Pakistan’s internal affairs for the worst scenario. “Constant and overt interference in the internal affairs has put a big question mark on the integrity and sovereignty of the country which should be noticed immediately.”
The Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) president made the remarks while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday. Maulana Ludhianvi claimed that the Pakistan Defence Council (DPC), comprising 40 parties, could not be disturbed through conspiracies as the amalgamation aimed at safeguarding the country and national interests and that it would remain firm for the cause.
He also criticised the rulers for wrong policies which according to him had “jeopardised” the national sovereignty and integrity. He pointed out that the worst state of affairs could be judged from the fact that the prime minister who had been convicted of contempt of court was not ready to resign although he should have stepped down voluntarily. The ASWJ chief also warned that all plots and conspiracies aimed at establishing Agha Khan State in Gilgit-Baltastan would be foiled in a befitting way.
