Cases registered against 26 journalists

QUETTA - Cases have been registered against 26 journalists for violating red zone area while carrying out a protest rally against target killing of journalists while the Station House Officer (SHO) of concerned police station was also suspended, on Monday.
Dozens of journalists took out a protest rally against the targeted killing of Khuzdar Press Club’s General Secretary Abdul Haq Zehri who was killed on Saturday. The protesting journalists staged demonstration in front of CM Secretary by removing barriers on road leading to CM hospital upon which cases were registered against 26 journalists.
SHO Civil Line Police Shaukat Jadoon was also suspended for not stopping journalists while breaching the red zone area. Some senior journalists against whom cases were registered, including Shahzada Zulfiqar, Muhammad Raza, Suleman Ashraf, Irfan, Abdullah Baloch, Banaras Khan and Irshad Mastoi.
