KARACHI - Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that if any political party brings valid suggestions for amendment in the Sindh Local Government Law, the government will incorporate these any time.He was talking to the media persons outside the Sindh Assembly on Monday.He said that propaganda was made against PPP that it would not bring LGO to the Assembly but we proved all wrong and brought that Ordinance to the House and got it passed by a big majority.He said the major stakeholders of Sindh – PPP and MQM – have agreed to solve problems of Sindh people and respect their mandate.Information Minister said those opposing LGO were among the supporters of Local Government system introduced by Musharraf in 2001.He said PPP was pursuing reconciliation policy and welcomes all parties including nationalists to come and hold discussions with PPP on Local Government issues.Earlier, speaking to media persons, MQM leaders Provincial Minister for IT Raza Haroon and Youth Affairs Minister Faisal Sabzwari said SPLGO had been approved from the Assembly with big majority.They said the law aimed at protecting rights of Sindh people and asked why somebody wanted that those living in Kashmore should visit Karachi for problems of their constituency. He said elected representatives will now look after their districts in better interest of the people.Regarding protest in Sindh Assembly by former allies of the PPP, the MQM leaders said it was their democratic right.
