LAHORE– Expressing serious concern over the worsening law and order in Karachi, PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif has accused the government of deliberately not paying due attention to control the situation.
Nawaz was talking to Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto, the son of Mumtaz Bhutto, and British investor Aver Pervez who called on him at Raiwind on Saturday. It is worth recalling Mumtaz Bhutto is an important leader of the PML-N, as he has merged his Sindh National Front into the party.
During meeting with Ameer Bakhsh, the PML-N chief discussed with him current political situation in the country, party matters, strategy in Sindh for next elections and other matters. Nawaz expressed the hope that his party would sweep the upcoming elections throughout the county, particularly in Sindh.
Expressing his views on the situation in Karachi, Nawaz said peace in the port city was very much possible if recommendations made by the Chief Justice of Pakistan were strictly implemented.
Recalling his previous visits to Sindh, the PML-N chief said he received immense love and respect from the Sindh people which was now an asset of his life.
Nawaz said during his rule in the past, he had served the people of Sindh wholeheartedly and he would repeated the same even more vigorously, if he got the chance to govern the country again.
He said the development of Sindh and welfare and prosperity of the Sindhis had always been dear to him and he would do his best to achieve the end after coming into power.
Nawaz also lamented the federal government for inflicting the miseries like price hike, loadshedding, unemployment and unrest on the people and doing nothing to resolve these problems.
During meeting with Aver Pervez, the PML-N president shed light on various projects initiated by the PML-N government in Punjab and the vast scope of investment in this province which could yield huge financial benefits to the foreign investors.
