ISLAMABAD - The city police got vacated a conference hall of a local hotel moments before the arrival their of Deputy PM Ch Pervaiz Elahi on receiving a phone call about the presence of a bomb in the premises on Saturday. According to the police, the Bomb Disposal Squad along with other police personnel was deputed at the hotel for security clearance. The police asked all the persons of the conference to vacate the conference hall. After some time, the bomb disposal squad thoroughly scanned the conference hall, however, no presence of any explosive devices was detected there.
Earlier, the federal police had received a threat of terrorist activity in the conference hall of the hotel where the Deputy PM was to address an international conference on Saturday.
