18 gamblers rounded up in Shergarh

SHERGARH - The police arrested 18 gamblers red-handed from Hujra city, 11-km south from here, in the remit of Hujra Police and recovered a fax machine, voucher box and cash from them other day.

According to detail, Station House Officer Hafiz Saeed flatly refused to free the gamblers when approached by touts and there "well wisher".
On the direction of Okara DPO Usman Gondal, a police team headed by Station House Officer launched a grand operation against the (Parchi) gamblers.
The gamblers were arrested while they were busy in gambling are "Chand Raat" as they call it.
They were identified as Shahid Mehmood Ghori, Iqbal Shah, Shoukat Ali Bhatti, Amanat Ali, Bashir Ahmad, Allah Ditta, Shazad Hussain Shaikh, Abid Hussain Bhatti, Liaqat Ali Chugtai, Muhammad Yasin Toor, Allah Ditta, Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Younas Khokhar, Abdul Hameed Raikwal, Shaban Rahmani, Hadituallah, Tanveer Bhatti, Faqeer Ali Kamyana and Fiaz Ahmad.
The Station House Officer told the journalists that it was his top priority to purge Hujra police station of thief, dacoits, drug dealers and gamblers .
He said, that he would uphold merit and would not tolerate volition of the law.
