Brother of slain peace lashkar chief takes the saddle

PESHAWAR - After the killing of anti-Taliban Aman Lashkar leader Faheem Khan, his brother Asif Khan has been appointed chief of the Aman Lashkar, who along with the area residents vowed to continue pursuing the mission of his slain brother.
The killing of former union council nazim and anti-Taliban Aman Lashkar chief along with his three associates has triggered a wave of grief and distress among the local residents.
The family of Faheem Khan is also worried about the enemy, who had killed him along with his three friends.
The area residents have held the government responsible for the killing of the lashkar chief and they have appealed to Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of this incident.
In a press statement the resident of the area has decided to keep up the mission of for Union Council Nazim and revenge his killing.  They strongly criticizing the statement of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police in which he said that Faheem was criminal and he has also some personnel disputes with his enemies.
The statement of IGP was widely condemned by the local people and said that instead of appreciating the services of their martyred leader, government now blackmailing him.
It is worth mentioned here that Anti Taliban slain nazim Faheem had survived a suicide attack on the PAF Road near his village on June 12. Two constables of the special police force were killed while five persons were wounded when the suicide bomber attacked his car.
Faheem also survived several bomb attacks and assassination attempts since 2009. Faheem and his men killed nine LI fighters who reportedly came to attack him in Bazidkhel village in February 2009. In the same month, he survived a bomb attack outside his hujra where six lives were lost. Later, he survived two attacks, one on the Circular Road in the city and the other in Saddar. More than 24 people were killed in these attacks.Last year Faheem’s colleagues shot dead a man who was said to be a suicide bomber probably sent to target him.
On June 5, Faheem had announced that activities of the Amn Lashkar in Bazidkhel would continue against the militants. Dilawar Khan, leader of another Amn Lashkar in Adezai, had announced in May that they were going to stop activities against militants since the police and the government were not supporting them with manpower and finances.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has congratulated the father of Hira Bashir on her successful operation and assured him of full support until complete recovery of his daughter.
He contacted her father Bashir Ahmad on telephone and inquired after her health. It merits a mention here that heart patient Hira Bashir has been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital from Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad upon directives of the chief minister. The chief minister also directed the hospital administration for provision of free treatment and other facilities to Hira Bashir. Doctors termed Hira’s conditions satisfactory and speedily recovering. Bashir Ahmad thanked the chief minister on taking personal interest in treatment of his daughter and expressed well wishes for his successes.
Meanwhile, according to the latest report issued by Flood Cell Peshawar Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, River Adizai at Adizai bridge is in medium flood, where the discharge of water was recorded as 38,000 cusecs.
