LAHORE – Offering felicitations to the Nawa-i-Waqt Group Editor-in-Chief for receiving an honorary doctorate from Punjab University, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday the PhD degree conferred on Majid Nizami was in acknowledgment of his invaluable and endless services to the country as well as the nation.

In his exclusive conversation with Waqt News television, the former premier, however, observed that the honorary doctorate was a minute thing for a revolutionary figure like Mr Nizami, put together his lifelong efforts and services.
Congratulating Majid Nizami, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munawwar Hassan said Nizami was the saviour and flag-bearer of Two-Nation Theory. “Nizami’s services are certainly unforgettable and undeniable,” added the JI chief.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Mr Nizami deserved even a bigger award, since his services to the country were exceedingly important. He added Mr Nizami’s work was a beacon of light for him.
