SC suspends Shehnaz Sheikh’s NA membership

he Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday suspended the National Assembly membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (MPL-Q) MNA Shahnaz Sheikh.

Her membership was suspended for holding Pakistani and Australian nationality simultaneously. Also, neither she appeared before the apex court nor submitted a reply regarding the case on court directives.
While resuming hearing of the dual nationality case, the apex court bench issued a show-cause notice to another MNA Rai Mujtaba Kharal, who is also parliamentary secretary for interior.
