Man killed in Panjgur shooting

QUETTA - A man was killed and another two sustained injuries in separate incidents of firing and explosion in Panjgour and Quetta on Friday.
According to police sources, unidentified armed men killed a man, identified as Abdul Samad, in Garamkan area of Panjgour and fled. Police shifted the deceased to hospital for autopsy and later handed over the body to family. The deceased was a resident of Kalat district of Balochistan. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained till filing of this report.
An explosion occurred near Mali Bhag area in McChongey Road of Quetta. Police said a man was carrying homemade explosive device on a motorbike when it exploded, injuring him and another man seriously. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital where they were identified as Shujaat and Qasim. The bike was destroyed in the blast. “It was a homemade explosive device,” the Bomb Disposal Squad sources said. The condition of an injured is precarious who has been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
Separately, armed men kidnapped Levies Force cashier Ashraf from Asadabad area of Khuzdar and shifted him to undisclosed location. Meanwhile, unidentified armed men fired a rocket at a checkpost of Levies Force in Kech district which landed with huge blast. However, no loss was reported in the blast.
