FAISALABAD - The strike of traders on the call of Tajir Ittehad of Faisalabad entered third day on Sunday against the unscheduled loadshedding and ignorant attitude of the government.
The shutdown was continued in Faisalabad where business centres and markets remained closed while the traders protested by setting tyres on fire on the roads. Thin traffic was observed on the roads while traders and shop owners took out a protest rally at Ghanta Ghar intersection. All the eight bazaars linked to the intersection. The grain market was completely closed and heavy police contingent was deployed there.
Moreover, angry protesters chanted slogans against the government while some stick-wielding protesters forced the shop owners to shut their businesses. Even then, the loadshedding also remained continued all the day. The 18 to 22 hours power outages affected the water supply to the area. Students, teachers, traders and industrialists are seriously protesting against the loadshedding.
