ORAKZAI AGENCY  - Security forces conducted operations in the Khyber and Orakzai tribal regions killing at least 15 militants and destroying three hideouts.
At least seven militants were killed during a security forces operation conducted in Sipah Lakhkar area of Khyber tribal region.  Military jets bombarded several targets in Orakzai tribal region's Mamozai area.
The security forces used heavy artillery fire and targeted their hideouts destroying three of them. During the clean-up operations in various areas, the militants offered resistance which led to exchange of fire. Ten militants were killed in the blitz. Sources said that death toll may rise further as some militants were reportedly buried under the rubble of destroyed hideouts.
Security sources said that search operations were conducted at Lundo Qamar, Arghanjo and Adamkhel areas of upper Orakzai Ageny.
Security forces have been engaged in battling militants in the region and have cleared most of the areas, however in some areas of tribal belt, militants have strong sanctuaries which forces targeting.
