TANK - Elders of Mehsud and Burki tribes from South Waziristan Agency Wednesday vowed to provide full security to PTI peace marchers to South Waziristan Agency, saying that they would help make this march successful. To review security arrangements for PTI peace march scheduled for October 7, a grand joint tribal jirga of Mehsud, Burki and Bethani elders was held at town hall Tank. The jirga was presided over by Burki tribe chief Malak Mohammad Qarib Khan. Other prominent tribal elders were Malak Shah Jehan Khan, Haji Alaudeen Khan, Pir Iqbal Shah and others. The jirga members were unanimous to provide security to leaderships and participants of the peace march.  After the concluding of the jirga proceedings, tribal elders while talking to media said that the peace march would take place at all costs, and government could not stop it.The tribal elders said that PTI chief Imran Khan was a great brave leader and millions of tribesmen have proud over him. They said that it was the PTI chief Imran Khan who had highlighted the issue of drone attacks on FATA. They were of the view that injured tribesmen of drone strikes would be presented before foreign media at Kotkai locality, as a number of foreign media would also accompany marchers to South Waziristan Agency, so that to build up pressure on US to stop drone attacks on FATA. The elders said that they have formed a 40 members committee, which would make arrangements for security of marchers on emergency basis.
