Swat - Provincial Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mian Iftikhar Hussain Shah, has said that we desire to have good bilateral relations with United States and with the rest of the world in the great interest of the country, military operation at Karachi is inevitable just as was done at Swat four years back.
If mutual trust was developed among Pakistan, Afghanistan and USA then peace and harmony will return to the region. ANP government has fulfilled its pledges and peace has been fully restored in Malakand division, he said while addressing party workers at TMA hall Mingora here on Wednesday.
“We have intension to have good relationship with Pakistan Army which has promised not to implement the Marshal Law and would hold judiciary in high esteem. The ANP government has succeeded in agriculture and education sectors in its four successful ears of regime,” he said.
Provincial Minister Wajid Ali khan, Ayub Khan Asharay, and ANP Swat President MPA Sher Shah Khan also addressed on the occasion while ANP elected members of provincial assembly Syed Jaffar Shah, Rehmat Ali Khan were present on this occasion.
Mian iftikhar said that if the deteriorating law and order situation is not controlled in the country, it can affect peace in district Swat. He said that ANP coalition with PPP is remarkable and provinces are given full powers and today we are capable to give ryalty of gas and oil to districts.
He said that we have initiated some developmental steps to make every institution workable and 1000 primary schools were build up, colleges universities were been established, Bacha Khan Rozgar Scheme were initiated for the skilled youth of the province.
Mian Iftikhar went on saying that in the past our culture was squeezed which earned a bad name to it throughout the world but it is ANP which has given rebirth to the Pukhtoon culture. Singing and dancing is not our culture but it is our ritual, he added.
He also said that good and peaceful relationship has to be maintained with US as we have killed our own people during the war with Russia and now creating that sort of situation will not be benefiting the country. If USA has intensions to do investment in our country they are more than welcome but drone attacks would be an attack on the country’s sovereignty, which creates hatred among the masses and militants took advantage from it and extremism flourishes in the region.
Talking about the unrest in Karachi, he said that Rangers and Police have failed to control the situation and we condemn the killing of innocent people in Karachi and demand military operation just like in Swat.
