Chairperson National Commission for Human Development Dr. Nafisa Shah has said the Commission has been working hard to achieve the literacy ratio target set by UN Millennium Development Goals to eighty six percent from the current seventy five percent until 2015. Dr. Nafisa said the NCHD had aimed to focus on empowering women through literacy centers adding that ninety five percent of the enrolled learners were women as compared to the previous figures of ninety two percent.
