FAISALABAD - Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain has taken strict notice of non-afforestation of 500 acres forest land in Chak-46/GB Tehsil Sumandri, which has been kept barren for the last 12 years due to apathy of the Forest Department officials.

The Commissioner directed to ensure proper use of the forest land and assured the meeting that the sanctioned water allowance for the land would be restored.
The meeting also reviewed other options including the option of handing over the forest land to city district government, Faisalabad for ensuring afforestation.
