ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Rehman Malik Monday said that the government would give its stance regarding talks with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan in a couple of days and would welcome anyone including Nawaz Sharif as guarantor. Talking to the media, Malik said: “Earlier it was not clear with whom the Taliban are willing to talk, now if they have mentioned guarantors, let’s welcome it.”
He however added that the negotiation offer should have been unconditional rather than linked with the release of Taliban prisoners. The TTP on Sunday set conditions for talks with the government.
