UNITED NATIONS - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday wished Malala Yousafzai “all the best” after learning that the 15-year-old Pakistani school girl, who survived an assassination attempt by Taliban militants, was discharged from a hospital in England.“Malala continues to inspire the people of Pakistan and the world with her courage, determination and example,” the UN chief said in a statement released by his spokesman, Martin Nesirky.“The Secretary-General wishes Malala all the best as she moves further along the road to recovery and as we continue to work to ensure every girl can go to school,” the statement said.On 10 December, UNESCO and Pakistan launched the Malala Fund for Girls’ Education at a high-level event held as part of the celebrations for Human Rights Day. At the event – Stand Up for Malala, Girls’ Education is a Right – President Asif Ali Zardari announced that Pakistan would donate the first $10 million.
