KHANEWAL - A young man died and two other injured when an air compressor exploded at a tyre remoulding shop here the other day.

The Rescue-122 staff and Saddr Police reached at Asad tyre shop situated at old general bus stand.
One Muzamil, son of Muhammad Ashraf Kamboh, a resident of Basti Azizabad was expired on the spot while Naeem, a resident of city Khanewal and Shahbaz, son of Allah Ditta, a resident of 90/10R were seriously injured.
They were referred to Nishter Hospital after first aid at DHQ Hospital.
The impact of explosion was so intense that it was heard up to 1-km radius from the blast site. Saddr Police DSP Javid Khan also visited the spot. A case has been registered.
