LAHORE – The founder of forward bloc in PML-Q, Mian Ata Muhammad Manika on Monday announced his separation from the group, saying it was no more relevant in the present scenario.
While talking to TheNation, Manika said that the Unification Block had lost its significance and was no more relevant in the existing situation.
The sitting leadership of the block could neither conduct a meeting in the last three-and-half years nor any of the block members could be elected as member of the Senate”, he said, adding that bloc members had formed their splinter groups to look after their personal interests.
“Under the given circumstances, he said, it was not convenient for him to be a part of the block whose members were disunited. Manika, however, said that he would continue to support the Chief Minister Punjab.
