HYDERABAD - Awami Tehreek leader Ayaz Latif Palijo said that he had nothing to do with the plea filed in the Supreme Court against the Sindh People’s Local Government Act.

Talking to media here on Sunday, the nationalist leader said that a public gathering would be held in Tando Allahyar on November 10. He invited the Urdu speaking community to attend the gathering. Palijo said that certain elements were introducing Karachi-like targeted killings in Hyderabad, which he condemned. He said that the nationalists would not accept any step aimed at dividing the province. He said his party would render all sacrifices to safeguard interests of Sindhi people.
Meanwhile, unidentified armed men opened fire at Haider Chowk area of the city, killing two and injuring four others in the second consecutive day of violence in Sindh’s second largest city. An office of a local religious party was targeted in the attack. Police and rescue workers reached to the spot and shifted the injured to Civil Hospital.
Meanwhile in Umerkot, there is no clue in case of armed robbery of a museum.
Armed bandits last Friday had entered the state-run museum of Umerkot Fort, held hostage Museum Incharge Gul Hassan Kaloi and watchman Aslam Rajput at gun-point and looted hundreds of precious golden and silver coins belonged to the Mogul Empire era, valuing millions of dollars in the international market. 
Local police have registered a case but no arrest yet reported. Senior officials of archaeology department visited the museum and initiated probe.
Sources said that the looted coins were copies of real ones made at a laboratory of Lahore; however, the officials do no affirm or deny in this regard.
