QUETTA  - A government official was killed and two others were wounded on Thursday in an incident of firing by unknown gunmen in Kuchlak near Quetta.According to police sources, the incident occurred in the town’s main market when two gunmen suddenly opened indiscriminate gunfire on a car on National Highway. All three occupants of the car, who were government officials, were injured in the attack and were shifted to Quetta for medical treatment.One of the injured succumbed to his wounds en route to the hospital. The condition of the other two injured officials was reported as critical as well.Police said that the incident occurred at National Highway in Kuchlak when the assailants attacked the vehicle.“All the three victims were shifted to Civil Hospital but one of them succumbed to his injuries,” they added.In a separate incident, unknown gunmen entered a house in Dasht, some 30 kilometres from Quetta, and opened fire, critically injuring a doctor. The injured person was rushed to a nearby hospital.Meanwhile, a 20-year old girl was killed when a speeding bus hit a motorcycle in Quetta. Her father was injured in the accident.
