RAHIM YAR KHAN - Civil Judge-cum Magistrate Sardar Khaled Naeem Khan Baloch issued a stay orders against the election of self-proclaimed Anjuman-e-Arhtian and holding oath-taking ceremony. The court also not to interfere in the matters of Anjuman-e-Arhtian Ghala Mandi (Registered) Rahim Yar Khan,” said leader of Friends group Ch Muhammad Shafiq while speaking at a press conference here the other day.

He pointed out that on July 2, some traders of Ghala Mandi held illegal and so-called elections and elected one Ch Muhammad Ashraf as president by using fake letterhead of Anjuman-e-Arhtian.
Due to the fear of defeat in the elections our opponent group escaped the elections and held illegal elections yesterday,” he claimed, adding that after the announcement of the result of so-called election they started aerial firing with Kalashnikov and pistols and created panic among traders of grain market.
He argued that the opponents had violated the constitution of the association and the general body would initiate disciplinary proceedings against them.
Anjuman-e-Arthian President Zahoor Gujjar and members of election committee also met DPO Sohail Zafar Chattha and informed him about the terror act of the opponents.
Meanwhile, Ch Shafiq said that two candidates - Javaid Arshad and Muhammad Arshad had submitted nomination papers for the slot of president to the election committee. According to schedule, polling for the elections of new body of the association will be held on July 8, (Sunday).
