Five-day Spring Festival at UAF from 13th

FAISALABAD - The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) will organise a five-day Spring Festival from March 13, 2012 to promote modern agricultural practices to increase per acre production of crops, fruits and vegetable.
According to detail, the festival will include farmer convention, agricultural exhibition, flower show, horse and cattle show, tent pegging, milking competition, beauty competition of cattle, cultural show and an international seminar. The five-day event aims at focusing on the importance of modern agricultural practices and suggesting a solution to meet the shortage of food in the country. The inaugural ceremony will include tent pegging competition at the Race Course Ground, UAF, whereas agricultural exhibition, flower show and fancy-birds show will be inaugurated at D-Ground of the varsity.
UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad has constituted several committees to make proper arrangements for the event. He told that preparations for the festival were in full swing at the campus. The festival will continue till 17 March.
