In-laws chop up woman’s tongue

RAHIM YAR KHAN - A person along with his father cut the tongue of his wife here on Friday.
According to the details, Abdul Ghani, a resident of Digah Aman Khan near Sadiqabad, told the media that he married his daughter Zarina with Mohammad Shakoor in Chak No 138 P. He said that after sometime his daughter told him that her husband had illicit relations with some other girl and was involved in anti-social activities.
“Her husband and father-in-law also threatened to kill her if she disclosed it. They even beat her and finally cut her tongue. After that incident he took her to Sheikh Zayed Hospital and her condition was critical,” he added. He further said that the police arrested Shakoor and his father but after sometime released Shakoor’s father. Meanwhile, Investigation Officer Bangla Manthar Police Station Rab Nawaz said that he lodged an FIR under section 324 of Pakistan Penal Court against Shakoor and his father and after the investigation released Shakoor’s father because he was found innocent.
