Rs0.5 million cloth looted

TOBA TEK SINGH - Three dacoits took away cloth worth Rs0.5 million from a shop in Saddr Bazaar in Rajana here early in the morning on Sunday.

Shop owner Khalid Hussain told the police that the outlaws broke opened the shop and loaded cloth onto a numberless car after overpowering the watchman. He along with other shopkeepers also staged a demonstration at Rajana Chowk, bring the vehicular traffic to Toba, Kamalia, Samundri and Pirmahal to a grinding halt for about half an hour. Later, the police officials rushed to the scene and assured them of registration of a case.
 They also assured the protesters of the arrest the culprits at earliest.
