SADIQABAD - A meeting of the PML-Functional Youth Wing was held here under the chair of tehsil president Muhammad Akmal.On the occasion, Mr Akmal said that PML-F leaders including MNA Syed Mustafa and Syed Ahmad Mehmoud were serving the people and making efforts for providing basic facilities at their doorstep. The MNA was also trying to get funds approved to remove backwardness of the region and deprivation of the people. He said that the movement for the restoration of Bahawalpur province had entered final stages. He added that those opposing the movement would face defeat in the forthcoming general elections. He said that his party leadership would not take rest till the restoration of Bahawalpur province. He said that the people were determined to get the purpose fulfilled. On the occasion, tehsil general secretary Abid Hussain expressed the hope that the people would hear glad tidings in this regard soon. It was also attended by other party office-bearers including Abid Hussain, Maqbool Khan, Mulazim Hussain, Anwar Khan, Ejaz Khan, Ajmal Khan, Wahid Buksh and Wazir Iqbal. DO awards diligent, hardworking employees: On behalf of the district government, the district officer (education) presented honours to the public sector employees for their commendable services at offices as well as regarding other activities. “The hardworking, diligent and honest employees are an asset of the government institutions. Because of their efforts, the institutions perform better,” DO Malik Irshad Ahmad said while addressing the award distribution ceremony. The DO said that serving the people and dealing with them virtuously adds to the employees’ honour therefore such employees should be rewarded. He also urged the other employees to follow in the footsteps of these diligent workers regarding office work. On the occasion, All Pakistan Clerks Association District President Mehboob Khan, Education Department Secretary General Hasan Mehmood were also present. Addressing the participants, they urged the workers to leave no stone unturned to strengthen their institutions to facilitate visitors of the offices. They also said that Apca was making strenuous efforts for the workers’ rights.
