Cabinet meets today with heavy agenda

ISLAMABAD - Besides giving approval to the decisions of the Economic coordination Committee the Federal Cabinet would discuss energy crisis prevalent in the country and the caretaker set-up in its likely farewell meeting here today.
In the evening, the Prime Minister would also be holding farewell dinner in honour of Federal Cabinet and other members of outgoing National Assembly, which would be making history by completing its mandated term on March 16. Besides, the Chairman Senate the farewell dinner would likely be attended by the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and other important personalities. A guideline for the upcoming finance bill for fiscal 2013-14 would also be discussed in the Federal Cabinet meeting and the outgoing government would also discuss the financial management of the government during the interim set-up so that the things would remain smooth during the interim period.
The budgetary guideline would likely get the approval so that the officials of Ministry of Finance would keep on working on the budget document during the interim period and the presentation of Federal Budget 2013-14 would not see any hurdles in its tabling soon after the installation of the next government. The other measures for financial management and other government expenses during the interim period would also came under discussion of the Federal Cabinet and some important decisions would likely be made in the farewell meeting. The Federal Cabinet would also have word on caretaker set-up, dissolution of National and provincial assemblies on same day.
