ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the people themselves can see the difference between dictatorships and democracy, after the successful completion of tenure by the present government.
He was speaking to workers of Pakistan Peoples Party belonging to the federal capital at Prime Minister's House on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that workers of the party are like a family who are spread all over the country. PPP, he said has presence in every part and area of the country.
Prime Minister said that it was PPP which raised the voice of the common man and down trodden. Other political parties subsequently were forced to follow.
Referring to the politics of reconciliation pursued by the present government the Prime Minister said that all political parties represented in the Parliament remained allies of PPP at one time or another.
The Prime Minister said that he hailed from a middle class family and understood the impact of inflation and unemployment on the common man. He reminded the workers of the challenging circumstances in which the government had been working. Prime Minister said that PPP had rendered great sacrifices for the cause of democracy in the country and the President voluntarily transferred his powers to Parliament.
The Prime Minister urged the party workers to go into the field and campaign for their candidate with the confidence that PPP has achievements to its credit.
