An activist MQM was killed near his house situated at sector 36-B Landhi within the remits of Landhi police station.
Police said that the victim Rashid Khan,35, son of Piaray Khan was going to nearby bakery where unidentified armed riders sprayed bullets on him and managed to escape. Resultantly, he sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot. After getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy and later handed over to heirs. Police said that deceased was an employee of the Water Board and motive behind killing was present wave of target killing. Further investigation was underway. Meanwhile, a bullet riddled body of another MQM worker was found near from Samu Goth within the jurisdiction of Memon Goth police station.
Police said the victim Abdul Wahid alias Shehzad,24, son of Abdul Sattar, resident of Musharaf Colony Malir ,was kidnapped from somewhere and later his body carrying bullet wounds was found at said place.
The body was handed over to family after medicolegal formalities at JPMC. Police said that deceased was KMC employee and affiliated with MQM.
In another incident, an employee of a garment factory was shot dead in sector48-C, Korangi in Zaman Town police precincts.
Police said that the deceased Qadir Hussain,53, son of Maqool Hussain was going somewhere when pillion armed riders came close and opened indiscriminate fire on him. Resultantly, he died on the spot.
The body was shifted to JPMC for autopsy. The motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained. Separately, a tailor master was gunned down in Juhar Complex, in Sacchal police limits.
Police said that victim Mohammad Ali Bhatti,45, son of Jafir Hussain Bhatti, resident of Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth, was present at his shop where unidentified assailants opened fire on him and managed to flee from the scene. Resultantly, he sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem. Police said that victim was a worker of Sindhi National party (Sindh Taraqqi Pasand party).
Elsewhere, a man was gunned down yet another was wounded outside a floor mill within the jurisdiction of Awami Colony police station.
Police said that victim Jalal,25, son of Bilal Bangali and Maqbool,26, son of Sabir were standing outside a flour mill in Murtaza Chowrangi, Korangi where unidentified armed motorcyclist showered bullets on them.
Resultantly, both were evacuated to JPMC, where doctor pronounced Jalal dead and admitted Maqbool for treatment.
The motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained.
In yet another incident, a man was gunned down in Lee market in Kharadar police limits.
Police said that victim Pusht Khan,31, son of Naseeb Khan was going somewhere when unidentified armed riders intercepted his vehicle and resorted to indiscriminate firing. Resultantly, he sustained fatal bullet wounds and died on the spot. His body was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). Police said that victim hailed from Bajaur Agency and motive of killing could be personal enmity.
Separately, body of an unidentified man with bullet wounds was found from Bottle Wali Gali in Kharadar police precincts.
Police said the body was found lying in Bottle Wali Gally in Kharadar, adding that some unidentified culprits abducted the deceased and dumped his body at abandon place after killing.
However, the identification of man aged around 24 is yet to be ascertained.
The body was moved to morgue after medicolegal formalities at CHK.
