Terror bid foiled as cops shoot terrorist dead

Peshawar   - A terror bid was foiled as police killed a suspected terrorist in the Bara Shaikhan area, Capital City Police Officer Imtiaz Iltaf said on Thursday. He told the media that two people, moving a handcart into Peshawar near Bara area, attacked the cops when policemen flagged down. The police retaliated against the attack, killing one of them, he said, adding that the other escaped. He said that 110-kg explosive material was recovered from the cart. Police cordoned off the area and launched a hunt for the runaway terrorist.
