KHYB ER AGENCY - At least 12 security persons were wounded in two separate blasts when their vehicles exploded due to explosive material planted at a roadside here in tehsil Bara and Shalober Nogazi Baba on Thursday, security forces pokesman informed. The first incident occurred in Speen Qabr Chowk, of Sipah area. The security mens vehicle was targeted with a remote control explosive device when it was on routine patrolling in the area. Seven Frontier Corp (FC) personnel were injured and their vehicle was also damaged, the spokesman told. The second event took place in Shalober Nogazi Baba. The forces vehicle hit the planted explosive device at a roadside and five of the FC troops wounded. Soon after the incidents the forces rushed to the scenes, shifted the injured to CMH Peshawar and launched search operation in the areas. Meanwhile, fighting between Zekha Khel and Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) in Terah valley continued on Thursday and after fresh skirmishes the death toll of the security personnel has touched 25 so far, local sources told. The Zekha Khel sources claimed they had released 65 kidnapped persons from the private jails of LI whose identifications could not be ascertained.
