PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister for Prisons, Mian Nisar Gul Kakakhel has expressed concern over unannounced power loadshedding and low-voltage in district Karak and asked the authorities to initiate revolutionary measures for immediate resolution to the problems.

He expressed these views while talking to a 30-member delegation from district Karak here in his official at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday. Noor Sher Zada Khattak was leading the delegation.
Mian Nisar Gul said that the electorates of his constituency are mentally disturbed over the problem of low-voltage, saying that the people of his constituency are constantly telling him in this regard.
He said that the power load shedding has disturbed the whole country.
He said that the establishment of the department of energy and power in the province is a sincere step towards resolving energy crisis in the province.        
He said that for the first time in the history of the province the provincial government had established separate Energy and Power Department.
 He said that the province is the top producer of hydel power and action plan for the initiating 24 more such projects had been approved, which will provide 2100 mega watt electricity. The projects will cost a huge amount of Rs 353 billion.
The projects, he said are comprising of three phases included short term, mid-term and long-term. He was of the view that observing such massive power load shedding in the top electricity producing province is totally unjustified and that is the reason that ANP is convening all parties conference (APC) is a sincere reason for evolving consensus on the long standing and severe problem of the province. He said that all political parties should participate to prove their representation.
Meanwhile, Nepki Khel Peace Jirga has decided to form a new strategy for combating terrorism in Swat district and expressed a resolve to stand side by side with Pakistan Army for the maintenance of peace.
This was stated by head of the peace jirga Saifullah Khan while addressing a jirga at Kabal on Tuesday.
He maintained that the peace jirga had no political motive and its prime objective was to eliminate terrorism and establishment of peace in the district.
He vowed that their jihad against terrorism would continue unabated and a new strategy would be followed after Eidul Fitr to counter the menace.
He also condemned armed attack on senior leader of Swat Qaumi Jirga Haji Zahid Khan and held it a terrorist act. He demanded early arrest of the culprits involved in the attack.
