3 killed in trade of fire with police; one escapes

SWABI/Peshawar - Four people were shot in two separate incidents here on Thursday, police said.
A police party signalled a car - No DIK-2534 - but the accused opened fire on police and speeded up the vehicle. Near Jaganat canal areas on Yar Hussain-Chota Lahor Road, they exchanged fire for a long time. As a result, Fayaz Khan and Zahid Khan, two brothers, and Hayatullah were killed while two of their colleagues escaped. Fayaz was wanted to police under section 302, 324, 365, 149, 148, 506,353 and 17 of Pakistan Penal Code.
His brother Zahid was also wanted to the local police under section 302 and 109 and Hayatullah under section 302 and 334 of PPC. All the three killed persons belonged to Malakand division and they were involved in various crimes in the district. The police recovered two klashnikovs and a revolver from their custody and seized the car.
Meanwhile, a moneychanger was killed near Kala route when he was on his Garmunara village at night. His brother Ayaz Khan registering an FIR in city police station said that the reason of his killing was that the money borrowing. He said that the accused snatched money and mobile from him.
 But the exact figure of the looted money was not yet known. He accused Mukhtiar Khan of Garmunara village, Hamid Khan of Gar Maneri and an unknown person.
Meanwhile, at least four children were killed and three others including two women were injured in separate incidents of houses collapse on Thursday.
Sources said that the first incident occurred in Syed Khan village when the roof of a house owned by Hashmat Khan was collapsed. The incident resulted killing of two children and injuring Hashmat Khan and his wife.
In separate incident occurred in Pandyali area, two others children were killed when roof of their house collapsed while a woman was injured in Inzar village, when the wall of a house damaged due to heavy downpour.
