LAHORE – The Model Town CIA on Thursday claimed to have arrested two gangsters involved in 300 robberies and recovered booty worth Rs15 million.
Addressing a press conference, CIA SP Umer Virk said DSP Malik Dawood and his team arrested these felons, namely Faisal alias Moon and Qaisar alias Kashif, after the hectic efforts. He said the arrested were brothers and hardcore criminals.
“The accused often target the families coming back to home after attending marriages. They used to snatch gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from them,” he added.
Virk said they had clues about the murder of Prof Ali Haider and his son and police would give good news shortly. He said terror suspect Riaz Qadar had been arrested in America and the police were trying to bring him back through the Interpol.
