QUETTA - Two containers, carrying supplies for ISAF and NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan, were attacked by unknown militants in Dasht area of Mastung district, some 30-kilometer away from provincial capital, on Friday. The containers which were bound to Kabul from Karachi were parked near a petrol pump in Dasht area when armed men set them on fire and fled from the scene. Resultantly, both containers caught fire and partly damaged, however,the goods loaded in vehicles remained safe. No casualty was reported in the attack.
“Two containers were parked at the petrol pump when unknown armed men hurled the petrol bomb,” Balochistan Levies official Muhammad Latif said.
Personnel of Balochistan Levies and other law-enforcement agencies rushed to the spot soon after the incident and threw a cordon in the area.
A case has been registered against unknown persons.
