Non-availability of medicines causing inconvenience

FEROZEWALA – Non-availability of medicines, X-ray films and disposable syringes in emergency ward of the local DHQ Hospital was causing inconvenience to the patients.

The patients expressed concern over the situation during a survey conducted by a group of journalists here on Wednesday.
Rashidan Bibi who was under the treatment of pathologist doctor Rauf told that the entire medicines was purchased from her own pocket. No relief was provided by the hospital management.  They said although there is no paucity of funds yet the medical suprintendent Yousaf Qazmi and his governing body members are incompetent to tackle the hospital problems. 
They demanded the Secretary Health Arif Nadeem and others concerned high-ups of Health Department to intervene into the matter.
Youth killed in road accident: A youth namely Liaquat was killed when a speedy trailer knocked him down near Farooqabad on Wednesday.
The youth was on a motorcycle and was going to his village when he met with the accident.
Farooqabad police is looking into the matter.
Cash, valuables looted:  Five unidentified dacoits barged into a godown located in Manawala and took away cash and other valuables worth Rs 6 lakh  in broad day light on Wednesday.
Police has started investigation on the report of owner Ateeq. Meanwhile, in another incident which also took place in Manawala town four armed dacoits entered into a fertiliser store and looted cash and valuables on Wednesday.
Manawala police is investigating the matter. One killed over property dispute: One person was killed while another sustained serious injuries in Chak no 11/64 over property dispute here in district Nanakan on Wednesday.
According to details accused Ahsan had demanded his share of land from his father when he was sitting in his dera alongwith his younger brother.
The accused became infuriated and opened fire killing his uncle Ashiq on the spot and injuring his father Sharif critically.  Syedwala police have registered a case.
