JEDDAH - The Secretary General, Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, on Wednesday expressed OIC's continued support for a just resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.This he stated while talking to President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Yaqoob Khan, who called on him at his office here on Wednesday.Both the dignitaries discussed matters pertaining to self-determination and finding a peaceful solution to more than six decades-old Jammu and Kashmir problem. President AJK appreciated the role and efforts of Secretary General OIC for highlighting Kashmir dispute and his continued support for Kashmiri people. He also extended invitation to Secretary General for visiting Azad Kashmir which he accepted.Earlier, the President AJK held a separate meeting with the OIC's Special Representative on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, Ambassador Abdullah Abdul Rahman Alim, Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs. The two sides discussed many issues relating to the Jammu-Kashmir dispute, most prominently the human rights situation in the Indian-occupied Kashmir. They also discussed the need to strengthen the work of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir. Ambassador Alim reiterated the principled position of the OIC on Jammu and Kashmir and assured all possible support to the struggle for realisation of the legitimate right of self-determination being denied to the Kashmiris for over six decades.President AJK Sardar Yaqoob Khan expressed his gratitude to the OIC Special Representative on Jammu and Kashmir for his relentless efforts. He also invited the Special Representative to visit AJK. The Special Envoy accepted the invitation.
