Solar streetlights installation completed

KHYBER AGENCY - The political administration has completed work on a project of installing modern solar streetlights in addition to completion of Landi Kotal-Torkham road, which passes through the area main bazaar.
The project cost Rs 13 million. Twelve solar streetlights, of which the expenses were provided by political agent (PA), Khyber fund. The lights have been set up in different points of bazaar, including Bacha Khan chowk, main Torkham road, railway line, Zekha Khel and Khuga Khel taxi stands.
Besides, work on a kilometrr long Landi Kotal-Torkham road that passes through the main Landi Kotal bazaar has also been completed with the cooperation of C&W Department.  
The area dwellers, especially the bazaar trader community, appreciated the development projects and lauded the efforts of PA and other concerned departments. They said on the one hand the projects would boost business activities in the bazaar while on the other hand they would develop sense of security among the shopkeepers. The solar streetlights would assist in curtaining theft and other anti-social acts, they added.
Amjad Ali, general secretary of the bazaar union, declared both the schemes most important for progress of the bazaar and admired the high standard works of the projects.
