QUETTA - The Department of Health Balochistan has suspended polio campaign in 25 districts of the province; however, the campaign would be run in five affected districts including Quetta only.According to Health Department, government of Balochistan the campaign of the polio in five affected districts Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Quetta, Jaffarabad and Naseerabad would be started according to the schedule of February 18th while in other districts it would be postponed.Monitoring the campaign of polio, the head of EPI Balochistan Muhammad Anwar said that the due reason of the postponement of polio campaign in other 25 districts is the shortage of vaccinations and in this regard we have not been provided vaccinations of polio from World Health organisation. It may be mentioned here that due to the attacks on teams of polio in Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2012 the campaign in Quetta was postponed which was expected to be in February in 2013.
