Qaeda network eliminated from Pakistan: Foreign secy

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani said on Friday that Pakistan has eliminated al Qaeda network from its territory, media reports said.
In a briefing to the Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee, he said that security forces have eliminated al Qaeda network from Pakistan's territory.
Talking about drone attacks in the tribal region, he said that these attacks are not acceptable for Islamabad.
He said such attacks are violation of the UN charter, adding, Islamabad has always opposed these attacks.
He said dialogue with the US is the only way to resolve the issue of drone attacks.  He said some Afghan Taliban have been released on the demand of Afghan government.
