OKARA - Punjab Governor Latif Khan Khosa said that the Punjab government using Rs300 billion funds of the district governments because of delay in local bodies’ elections.
In a private visit of Army Stud Farm Perveen Abad Okara, he was talking to the media. He also criticized the decision of non party elections. The dispute of Army Stud Farms will be solved by provincial assemblies, he said. He added the provincial government has leased out lands to Army Welfare Trust till 2045. On the issued, the members of parliament will legislate to solve the problem, he said.
On the occasion the administration of Army Stud Farms and officers of other departments briefed the governor on the issues.
TIT-FOR-TAT WARNED: MNA Khuram Jehangir Wattoo said the PPP-led government was capable of giving tit-for-tat response to the Sharif brothers’ protests. He said that federal government believed in politics of reconciliation.
Instead of holding protests, the PML-N should promote democracy, he said. If they do not avoid stubbornness, the PPP would also start protesting against the provincial government, he said while addressing party workers at Basirpur. He added that the government was taking steps to eliminate loadshedding.
