Hilal-i-Imtiaz announced for Sharmeen

islamabad : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday advised President Asif Ali Zardari to award Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. Sharmeen is yet to receive the award in recognition of her achievements in film-making and highlighting important social issues in Pakistan through documentaries. Sharmeen Chinoy is the first Pakistani to receive Oscar.
