ISLAMABAD (Agencies) - Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Talal Akbar Bugti has reiterated his desire to form a grand political alliance for general elections and has struck a reconciliatory tone saying “the people of Balochistan have no complaint against the people of Punjab”. Also, Talal Bugti said some Baloch leaders are also covertly involved in spreading unrest in the province. Talking to reporters on Monday, Bugti said that he was in contact with various religious and political elements for the formation of the proposed alliance. He said Akbar Bugti murder case should be reopened in a Balochistan court. He said that foreign hand is involved in deteriorating law and order situation the province. He said the Baloch are struggling to get their rights, adding that the people of Balochistan have no complaints against the people of Punjab.“We shall achieve our rights with the active support and help of Punjab which is our elder brother,” he said.Bugti said the people of all provinces were “tied with the thread of brotherhood, love and bilateral respect for each other”. “They will fail the enemies of Pakistan,” he said, adding, “Terrorists who have killed the people of Hazara and Punjab in Balochistan are yet to be apprehended.” Bugti also called for an end to “army operation in Balochistan”.Talal Akbar Bugti said that Balochistan requires an Imam Khomeini, adding that corruption was occurring in the name of weapons in Balochistan under the very nose of the President House. Bugti said that his party shall form a grand alliance against the corrupt democracy in the country.He alleged that Interior Minister Rehman Malik is obtaining billions of rupees from extortion from smugglers’ weapons.He also alleged that four attackers from the Mastung attack had been arrested but the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) released the attackers.Furthermore, Bugti added that peaceful relations were not wrong as some Baloch leaders are also covertly involved in spreading unrest in the province.Earlier, during his visit to Lahore a few days ago, Bugti had formed an alliance with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) which won him the staunch support of the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif for promoting the Balochistan issue at the centre.Sharif had also demanded that the secret agencies and security forces must be withdrawn from Balochistan in order to start the process of holding transparent and fair elections as their presence in the province could manipulate the process.
