Punjab allocates Rs120m for Hafizabad uplift

HAFIZABAD - The Punjab government has allocated Rs120 million under the MPAs development package for the district, it is officially learnt.

The fund has been allocated for Constituencies NA-102, PP-106 and 107. The MPA of Constituency PP-105 (Malik Fayyaz of PPP) has been ignored altogether. According to official source, the amount allocated for financial year 2012-13, 93 development projects would be completed.  These schemes have been sent to the Provincial Government by MNA Saira Afzal Tarar, MPAs Asadullah Arain and Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti.
According to official sources, Rs104 million has been given for 243 uplift schemes in the area during 2011-12. Thirty three schemes have been completed while work on 111 are underway.
