MULTAN - The paramedical staff of all hospitals of Multan observed a complete strike to press the government accept their demands here on Saturday. The protesters shut down all departments of Nishtar, Children Complex, Dental College and Cardiology Institute hospitals except emergency. Resultantly, the patients faced severe problems. The protesting paramedics assembled at Chowk Kachehri and staged a sit in. They carried out non-stop sloganeering against the government. Talking to the journalists, they said that they were on roads for the last 26 days to get their genuine demands accepted but they did not receive any positive response from government so far. They warned that they would be forced to take extreme steps if their demands were not accepted. “The government will be responsible for the consequences,” they added.

They demanded Punjab Government to issue notification of service structure for grade-1 to 4 workers and include dental assistant nurse into this category. They also demanded health professional and high risk allowances.
