KAMOKE - Former PPP MNA Abdullah Virk dispelled the rumour about his joining of Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf. He said that he and his supporters considered the PPP the only force in the country that could deliver on the public mandate.

He said that the PPP government was serving the public and fulfilled its 80 per cent of election manifesto. The government is trying its level best to enhance the energy production, he added.
He said that the PPP workers and supporters were fully supporting the policies of the President Zardari and the Prime Minister Gilani.
He said that the PPP government was trying its best to solve the problems of the downtrodden masses of the country.
He further said that the government had taken steps to provide relief to the people in the fifth budget of the government.
He praised the increase in government employees’ salaries and pensions, besides making efforts for the industrial workers. He claimed that the budget would help strengthen the national economy and control price hike. He said that the government was taking steps to overcome energy crisis, adding that the government had decreased prices of petroleum products.
The PPP government had started Benazir Income Support Programme for poor people. “Rumors of my joining PTI are totally baseless. I am with my leadership,” he rejected.
While criticizing the Nawaz Sharif he said that the PML-N was trying to hoodwink the nation by holding protests and accusing the PPP-led government so as to cover their failures and incapabilities.
