Proclaimed offender killed in shootout

KASUR- A proclaimed offender was killed and a cop sustained injuries in a shootout near Village Doe Sial late Friday in Chunian police limits.
SI Abdul Ghani-led team raided the hideout of proclaimed offender Muhammad Asif, alias Tinda, of Village Rati Pindi in Kot Radha Kishan.
The outlaw attacked the team, wounding police constable Muhammad Shahbaz and fled to a corn field, continue firing at the squad. However, the raiding lawmen retaliated against the attack, killing him on the spot.
He was wanted in several cases of robbery and murder. The injured was rushed to hospital.
Man kills uncle: A man shot his uncle dead and injured his aunt over a land dispute on Saturday at Village Jagia in the limits of Ganda Singh police station.
Accused Muhamamd Ahmed had a dispute with his paternal uncle Din Muhammad over some land for last few years. On Saturday evening, after an argument, he opened fire at Din Muhammad who died on the spot while his aunt Maryam sustained serious injuries. The injured was rushed to DHQ Hospital in critical condition.
killed by robbers: Robbers killed a man during a robbery bid here on Saturday at village Qadiwind.
Muhammad Sarwar, a stamp paper seller at the district courts, was on his way home from Kasur on a motorcycle (LEW-8806) on late Friday. When he reached Vern Mor brick-kiln, two robbers intercepted him and tried to snatch cash and other valuables. One of the robbers shot Sarwar when he resisted.
Dacoits deprived a family of gold, cash and other valuables worth over 600,000 rupees, on Saturday, at Pattoki police precincts.
Five dacoits stormed the house of one Azharul Haq at Gulshan Sulaman Colony and held the family hostage. The dacoits fled with 10tola gold ornaments, Rs50, 000 cash and two cellphones.
