PATTOKI - The inhabitants of the city are suffering from the shortage of pure drinking water as its supply is getting mixed with sewerage, posing danger to the public health and give rise to the chances of outbreak of epidemics.

According to detail, the department concerned is laying down new sewerage pipes and during process some water pipes have broken due to which water is getting mixed with sewerage. The potable water plant which was installed with the cost of hundreds of thousands of rupees has been damaged and lying out of order. The water is getting contaminated due to the water pipe and sewage line pass close together. The residents of the city complain that drinking water supply is getting mixed with sewerage and creating health problems and scarcity of water.
